Meeting: Mon 1 Oct 2007

7pm (for a meal)

Topic

"What ultimately, is each of our respective responses to the Cross? Do we see ourselves as believers? If so, how is that expressed in our daily lives?" (topic suggested by Rod)

Further explanation by Rod: "This is the natural follow-on from our recent sessions in which we have tried to understand precisely how the Cross may have be effective in 'saving' us. I raise this question because for me, there has been a major shift in how I see faith now, compared with how I saw faith when the group started. When the group started, I was probably at a point where I would have said that I was not sure if I was a believer. I had many doubts and questions about pretty much everything, including how the Cross could possibly be effective. I feel very differently now. The abiding hard question for me has become, "What is my response to the Cross, and how is that worked out my daily life?"
